Nvidia has partnered with six major financial institutions to develop compute financing platforms targeting over $500 billion in third-party capital for AI infrastructure. The memorandums of understanding involve Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR, aiming to provide attractive-rate capital pools for AI labs, enterprises, and cloud providers.

The initiative positions Nvidia’s hardware as long-term infrastructure assets, comparable to commercial real estate or toll roads, rather than depreciating equipment. CEO Jensen Huang described the chips as “revenue-generating assets” with characteristics like productivity, longevity, fungibility, and flexibility.

Final agreements are pending, but executives from all seven firms jointly discussed the plans in a live CNBC interview. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon participated, signaling broad industry support for the financing model.
