Australia’s financial crime regulator suspended Cryptolink for three months after missing transaction reports and unresponsiveness raised money-laundering concerns.

Australia’s financial intelligence agency AUSTRAC suspended Cryptolink Pty Ltd for three months, forcing the shutdown of 96 crypto ATMs nationwide. The suspension, effective August 9, bars the company from providing virtual asset services during the period.

AUSTRAC cited Cryptolink’s failure to submit required threshold transaction reports and its lack of response to an information request. The regulator had previously imposed an enforceable undertaking in October 2025, which the company initially met before lapsing in compliance.

Crypto ATMs, which facilitate cash-to-cryptocurrency transactions, are viewed as high-risk for money laundering or terrorism financing. AUSTRAC’s move signals heightened scrutiny of such services in Australia.
