The European Central Bank will showcase euro banknote designs and cultural performances at a public event in 2026.
The European Central Bank and Hessischer Rundfunk will host the Europa Open Air concert on 20 August 2026 in Frankfurt. The free event aims to celebrate European diversity through music and culture, featuring performances by the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and Symphony, along with artists like Kurt Elling and Richard Galliano.
This year’s concert will include an ECB stand displaying ten shortlisted designs for future euro banknotes. The event reflects the ECB’s engagement with its host city and broader European community, as noted by ECB President Christine Lagarde.
