Tesla’s Q2 EPS misses consensus by 39%
Tesla delivered a record 480,126 vehicles in Q2, with revenue of $28.236 billion. However, non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.33, missing the $0.5367 consensus.
The company’s free cash flow turned negative, reaching $1.092 billion, and operating margin compressed to 1.4% as OpEx surged 47% YoY on AI infrastructure and R&D.
Tesla’s stock is down 26.94% YTD and off 16.62% over the past month, despite a 5.58% one-week bounce. Wall Street’s consensus target is $398, with only 49% of analysts bullish.
The stock is currently trading at $328.58, with some speculation it could reach $500 by the end of 2027.
