PPC acquires 2GW renewable pipeline and 82MW solar capacity from ABO Energy as part of the latter’s restructuring efforts.

Public Power Corporation (PPC) will acquire ABO Energy’s subsidiaries in Poland and Hungary, including a 2GW development pipeline and five operating solar parks totaling 82MW. The deal also covers a 17MW solar farm nearing completion and all 38 employees in both countries. Financial terms remain undisclosed, with regulatory approvals pending for a year-end closing.

ABO Energy has been active in Poland and Hungary since 2019, developing renewable projects. The sale follows earlier divestments in Greece and Finland, aligning with the company’s strategy to focus on core markets. ABO Energy stated the transaction supports its restructuring and financing plans without disruption.

PPC, an integrated utility in southeast Europe, expands its renewable portfolio through the acquisition. The companies expect no material impact on ABO Energy’s broader restructuring efforts.
