The online trading platform reported a 12% revenue increase, driven by higher customer activity and expansion into U.S. futures and prediction markets.

Plus500 (LON:PLUS) reported first-half revenue of $463 million, a 12% year-over-year increase, marking its highest level in three years. Customer income rose 24% to $461 million, a five-year high, supported by growth in trading activity and new market segments like U.S. futures and prediction markets.

Trading income, the company’s primary revenue source, grew 15% to $441.8 million. EBITDA increased 1% to $187.5 million, with a 41% margin, while earnings per share rose 6% to $2.17. The results reflected higher spending on marketing, which climbed 20% to $201 million, including $60 million in incremental investment.

Management said the revenue mix is shifting away from interest income, which declined due to lower global rates, toward trading and customer engagement. The company expects full-year results to align with market expectations.
