Australian AI infrastructure firm Firmus Technologies has closed a $2bn strategic equity round, led by Coatue, Nvidia, and Blackstone. The funding will accelerate the rollout of its Project Southgate AI Factory across Australia and support expansion into other Asia-Pacific markets.

The company has raised over $3bn in equity in the past year, with a post-money valuation now exceeding $10.5bn. Firmus manufactures its proprietary HyperCube platform domestically and uses Nvidia’s DSX AI Factory Reference Architecture to enhance deployment efficiency.

Firmus aims to improve energy efficiency and resiliency at scale, targeting both domestic and regional growth. The investment round also includes participation from Jane Street, reinforcing its strategic backing.
