Bank of Japan publishes second-quarter 2026 loan figures and revises sectoral and household lending data from 2023 Q2 onward.
The Bank of Japan released second-quarter 2026 data on loans and bills discounted by sector and household borrowing. The figures cover outstanding and new loans for fixed investment, as well as borrower counts across domestically licensed banks and Shinkin banks.
Revisions span from the second quarter of 2023 through the first quarter of 2026. Updated series include loans for fixed investment, new loans, and the number of borrowers, segmented by banking and trust accounts.
