CORZ shares rise after announcing a 15-year, $14 billion infrastructure partnership with AMD for AI data-center capacity.
Core Scientific (NASDAQ:CORZ) announced a 15-year infrastructure partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), securing over $14 billion in potential base contracted revenue. The deal grants AMD access to 500+ megawatts of U.S. data-center capacity starting in 2027, expandable to 2.5 gigawatts.
Shareholders previously rejected a $9 billion all-stock acquisition by CoreWeave in July 2025, which valued CORZ at $20.40 per share. The AMD agreement includes 377 megawatts directly leased by AMD and 152 megawatts by an unnamed neocloud customer, with protections for AMD if the customer defaults.
CORZ shares rallied in premarket trading following the announcement, reflecting market confidence in the deal’s scale and long-term revenue potential.
