Lineage Cell Therapeutics (LCTX) ended Q2 with $50.8 million in cash and marketable securities, projecting a runway into Q3 2028. Revenue declined to $1.1 million, but net income reached $1.5 million due to a non-cash warrant-liability gain.

The company advanced preclinical programs in corneal disease, Type 1 diabetes, and hearing loss, while Roche and Genentech optimized surgical delivery for its lead OpRegen retinal therapy. OpRegen remains eligible for up to $615 million in milestones plus royalties. The OPC1 DOSED study treated two chronic spinal-cord-injury patients without unexpected safety issues.

CEO Brian Culley emphasized the company’s “Lineage 3.0” strategy, focusing on scalable allogeneic cell therapies for indications where small trials could yield meaningful data.
