Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF) president and COO Robert F. Mehmel sold 37,061 shares on August 5 and 6, generating proceeds of approximately $4.9 million. The shares were sold at a weighted average price of $103.32, below the August 6 closing price of $106.30.

Following the transaction, Mehmel retains 753,000 shares, including indirect holdings through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. The remaining stake is valued at $80.05 million based on the August 6 market close. The sale occurred amid a post-earnings stock price increase.
