Caterpillar sales topped $20 billion
Caterpillar delivered a historic quarter with sales exceeding $20 billion for the first time.
The company’s adjusted operating margin came in at 21.9%, boosted by a recovery of tariff costs.
The backlog grew to $72 billion at the end of Q2, up $9 billion from the prior quarter, driven by broad-based momentum across the business.
Every segment contributed to the growth, with Power & Energy leading the pack, up 33%, and Construction Industries posting its sixth straight quarter of sales growth, up 22%
