Ukraine failed to intercept any Russian missiles during a large-scale overnight attack this week, exposing critical shortages in air-defense interceptors. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that deliveries from Western partners have slowed, leaving key regions vulnerable to escalating ballistic missile strikes.

Prior to this week’s attacks, Ukraine had maintained a 70-80% interception rate for Russian missiles, according to military estimates. The current shortfall follows months of intensified strikes, with Moscow launching over 150 ballistic missiles in the past 30 days alone.

Defense stocks in Europe and the U.S. showed muted reaction in early trading, while oil and grain futures edged higher on supply disruption fears.
