The new self-custodial wallet allows AI agents to execute crypto trades within user-defined guardrails and risk settings.
MetaMask introduced Agent Wallet, a self-custodial wallet enabling AI agents to trade cryptocurrencies autonomously while adhering to user-set limits. The tool supports swaps, perpetuals, prediction markets, and staking across Ethereum-compatible chains and Hyperliquid.
Users can cap spending, allowlist protocols, and select between two risk modes: Guard Mode, which requires 2FA for unapproved actions, and Beast Mode, which permits unrestricted trading with real-time threat scanning. The launch follows a week of $750M+ net inflows into BTC ETFs, with BTC holding near $65k.
The feature targets traders seeking automation without relinquishing control over funds or exposure to unauthorized transactions.
