Charter Communications (CHTR) has priced $4.75 billion in senior secured notes across four tranches to finance its $34.5 billion acquisition of Cox Communications. The proceeds will also support general corporate purposes.

The offering follows regulatory approval earlier this year, including clearance from the FCC. The debt issuance is part of Charter’s broader strategy to expand its footprint through large-scale acquisitions.

Charter’s stock declined 1.5% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
