Bitcoin trades near $64,300 ahead of US payrolls report
Bitcoin traded near $64,350 on Friday, unchanged on the week, as the market awaited the US payrolls report.
The setup turned slightly less friendly overnight due to rising oil prices. Brent rose 1.4% to $83.61 after reports of Iran’s plans to restrict US and Israeli ships.
Higher crude prices revive inflation worries, keeping the Fed leaning tight. The 10-year Treasury yield climbed seven basis points during the US session.
A soft jobs print could revive the case for the Fed to loosen, giving bitcoin room to rise, while a strong print could hand the hawks another reason to hold.
