US e-commerce company eBay has reported revenue of $3.13bn for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, an increase of 15% compared to last year on an as-reported basis.

On foreign exchange (FX)-neutral basis, revenue increased 14%

For the quarter ended 30 June 2026, gross merchandise volume (GMV) rose 15% to $22.39bn and was up 14% on an FX-neutral basis. Net income from continuing operations was $552m, which was 51% higher than in the same quarter of last year. Advertising generated $596m during the quarter, representing 2.7% of GMV.

Within that total, first-party advertising products contributed $570m, rising 25% as reported and 24% on an FX-neutral basis. eBay CEO Jamie Iannone said: “eBay’s second quarter delivered meaningful, broad-based momentum driven by continued innovation and focused execution against our strategic roadmap. “This quarter once again demonstrated our ability to focus on our strategic priorities while still delivering strong growth in operating income and EPS [earnings per share].” For the first half of 2026, net revenues totalled $6.22bn, compared with $5.31bn a year earlier. Operating income for the first half of the year was $1.28bn versus $1.090bn a year ago. Net income increased to $1.06bn from $863m a year ago.
