Green Plains posted Q2 GAAP earnings per share of $0.83, exceeding expectations by $0.18. Revenue reached $446.2 million, missing estimates by $96.24 million as year-over-year sales declined 19.3%.
The company’s eight ethanol plants operated at 88% utilization for the quarter. Adjusted EBITDA rose sharply to $93.3 million from $16.4 million in the same period last year, reflecting stronger core profitability.
Shares showed muted reaction in after-hours trading as investors weighed the earnings beat against the revenue miss.
