Sandisk’s weaker fiscal 2027 guidance sparks selloffs in memory and AI-related chipmakers across Asia and the U.S.

Memory and AI-related chip stocks fell in premarket trading Thursday after Sandisk issued underwhelming fiscal 2027 revenue guidance. The company’s outlook weighed on its own shares and triggered broader declines among memory makers in South Korea and Japan.

SK Hynix dropped nearly 10%, while other regional peers also saw sharp losses. Nvidia and major AI chipmakers remained mostly flat or slightly lower, though chip equipment suppliers like MKS and ASML advanced following strong earnings. Applied Materials traded lower despite the sector’s mixed performance.

The selloff reflects investor concerns over demand softness in memory markets, contrasting with recent strength in semiconductor equipment stocks.
