Circle names 11 traditional finance firms as validators for its September Arc blockchain launch, alongside stronger Q2 earnings.
Circle will launch its Arc blockchain on September 16, backed by validators including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, and DTCC. The cohort aims to secure the network, with BlackRock planning to deploy its tokenized money market fund BUIDL on Arc and DTCC enabling asset tokenization by 2027.
Second-quarter revenue reached $701 million, up 7% year-over-year but below the $770 million recorded in Q4 2025. Reserve income grew 5% to $668 million, while net income swung to $48 million from a $482 million loss a year earlier due to IPO-related stock compensation.
The testnet has processed over half a billion transactions across nearly 3 million wallets, with major DeFi protocols and wallets set to integrate at launch. Gas fees will be paid in USDC.
