Chipotle Mexican Grill repurchased $631 million of its shares at an average price of $32.55, near current levels around $35.13. The move comes as the company reports a second consecutive quarter of positive transaction growth, signaling a potential operational turnaround.

Q2 2026 revenue rose 9.31% year over year to $3.35 billion, with comparable sales up 2.2%. Digital sales now account for 38.3% of food and beverage revenue. Despite trailing the S&P 500 by 19% over the past year, 34 analysts target $44, implying 27% upside.

Shares remain 30% below their 52-week high after a period of volatility, as the company transitions from a growth stock to a value play following a year of negative comparable sales.
