AMD reports $1.66 EPS and $11.5 billion revenue for Q2, beating estimates, but shares fall amid strong AI-driven growth projections.
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) posted record second-quarter non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.66, surpassing consensus estimates of $1.61. Revenue jumped 50% year over year to $11.5 billion, exceeding analyst projections of $11.34 billion, driven by surging demand in its Data Center segment.
Data Center revenue more than doubled to $6.7 billion, with sequential growth of 16% and operating margins expanding by three percentage points. The company also forecasted second-half 2026 server CPU revenue to rise 80% year over year and expects data center revenues to more than double by 2027, fueled by AI GPU growth exceeding 100%.
Despite the strong results and outlook, AMD shares declined in trading, reflecting investor skepticism or profit-taking after the earnings release.
