Uber reported second-quarter results on Wednesday that met profit expectations, but its third-quarter guidance fell short of what analysts had anticipated.
Uber’s third-quarter gross bookings guidance of $58.25 billion to $60.25 billion produced a midpoint of $59.25 billion, which fell short of the $59.33 billion consensus, according to CNBC
The company also projected non-GAAP EPS of $0.84 to $0.88 for the quarter. The midpoint of that range fell below the 89-cent average analyst estimate. Second-quarter non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.81, matching the consensus estimate, according to CNBC.
Revenue reached $14.19 billion, a 12% increase from a year earlier. Analysts had expected $14.24 billion in revenue. Gross bookings for the second quarter totaled $58 billion, up 24% year-over-year, or 22% on a constant-currency basis.
