Snap Inc (SNAP) shares rose 14% after reporting second-quarter revenue of $1.60 billion, exceeding the $1.54 billion analyst consensus. Adjusted earnings per share showed a narrower loss of $0.10, compared to the expected $0.12 loss.
Advertising revenue growth accelerated to 9% year over year from 3% in the prior quarter, driven by stronger demand from large North American advertisers, World Cup-related spending, and adoption of Smart Campaigns. Daily active users reached 493 million, above the 488 million estimate.
The company guided third-quarter revenue growth of 13% to 15%, with the midpoint above Wall Street’s 13% forecast. Analysts noted the outlook appears achievable but emphasized sustained momentum is key for further stock re-rating.
