Mondelez International posted second-quarter net revenue of $9.36 billion, up 4.1% year-over-year and above the $9.21 billion consensus estimate. Adjusted earnings per share reached $0.73, surpassing expectations of $0.68 by approximately 7%. The results marked the fourth consecutive quarter of top- and bottom-line beats for the company.

Organic growth of 2.2% was driven by a 4.4% increase in emerging markets, particularly India, Mexico, and Brazil. North America showed sequential momentum, while Europe lagged due to softer demand. Shares initially rose 3% to $62.48 before paring gains as investors assessed management’s cautious capital allocation strategy.

The geographic divide highlighted structural demand differences, with cost-conscious consumers in developed markets curbing discretionary spending. Mondelez emphasized balancing pricing power with brand investments to sustain growth through 2027.
