Samsung will embed native stablecoin features, including fiat-pegged savings and payments, into 800 million new Galaxy smartphones via Samsung Wallet. The move targets 61 countries and aims to distribute tokens like USDC, positioning Samsung as a key stablecoin distributor.

The company already serves 19 million Samsung Wallet users in South Korea and has invested $408 million in Upbit operator Dunamu. This builds on its 2019 crypto wallet launch, integrating digital assets, payments, and rewards into a unified ecosystem.

Analysts say the strategy aligns with South Korea’s Digital Asset Basic Act, supporting both USD- and won-denominated stablecoins. Samsung’s broader crypto infrastructure push could reshape global stablecoin distribution.
