Capital Southwest posted pre-tax net investment income of $35 million, or $0.57 per share, in Q1 2027, driven by higher cash and payment-in-kind interest income. Total investment income climbed to $61 million from $57.8 million in the previous quarter.
The company’s portfolio expanded with $222 million in new commitments, lifting its on-balance-sheet credit portfolio to $2 billion, a 24% increase from June 2025. Credit quality remained stable, with 99% of investments in first-lien senior secured assets and non-accruals at 1.1% of fair value.
Capital Southwest declared a $0.58 regular monthly dividend plus a $0.06 supplemental dividend. Liquidity stood at $375 million in cash and undrawn credit capacity, while management projected $250 million to $300 million in additional originations over the next 60 days.
