Broadridge posted a 6.4% year-over-year increase in Q4 net earnings, driven by higher revenue in its investor communications segment.
Broadridge Financial reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $398 million, or $3.44 per share, up from $374.2 million, or $3.16 per share, a year earlier. The gain was fueled by a 8.1% rise in revenue from its investor communication solutions segment to $1.73 billion.
The company’s largest unit, which handles proxy voting, trade processing, and regulatory compliance for financial institutions, saw revenue climb from $1.6 billion in the same period last year. Broadridge serves major banks and broker-dealers in the U.S.
Shares, down 29.5% year-to-date, rose 1.7% in premarket trading following the results.
