The world’s largest asset manager expands blockchain-based fund access to 15 European markets with sterling, euro, and dollar share classes.

BlackRock introduced tokenized access to $311 billion of money market funds in Europe, extending its blockchain-based investment offerings. The move covers 15 markets and includes sterling, euro, and dollar share classes compliant with EU UCITS regulations.

The expansion follows BlackRock’s recent U.S. tokenized cash platform launch, which added onchain shares of an existing fund and a new stablecoin reinvestment fund. The tokenized real-world asset market has surged over 200% in the past year to $30 billion, with projections reaching $5.5 trillion by 2030.

CEO Larry Fink has advocated for tokenization as a tool to modernize financial markets, citing efficiency and accessibility benefits. The new share classes target corporate investors seeking digital asset integration.
