Gold prices in India advanced to INR 12,454.48 per gram on Tuesday, a 0.2% increase from Monday’s INR 12,429.86. The move reflects daily adjustments to international USD/INR rates and local measurement units, according to market data.
The previous session closed at INR 144,979.40 per tola, while Tuesday’s rate reached INR 145,266.70. Prices are calculated using real-time exchange rates and are indicative, with local dealers potentially quoting slightly different values.
Central banks globally added 1,136 tonnes of gold worth $70 billion to reserves in 2022, underscoring persistent demand for the metal as a safe-haven asset amid economic uncertainty.
