Investors await Toyota’s fiscal Q1 results, expecting 7% revenue growth to 13.06 trillion yen despite a 2.9% drop in global sales.
Toyota is set to report fiscal first-quarter revenue of 13.06 trillion yen ($83.4 billion), a 7% increase from 12.25 trillion yen ($78.3 billion) a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share are projected at 82.44 yen ($0.53), with EBITDA at 1.54 trillion yen ($9.8 billion).
Analysts anticipate an 8% net income margin but note cost pressures, with adjusted gross margin expected at 16%, down from 18% last year. The company previously lowered its operating income forecast by over 20% to 3 trillion yen for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
Global sales fell 2.9% in the first half of 2026 to 5.01 million vehicles, marking the first January-June decline in two years. Domestic sales rose 4.7%, while overseas sales dropped 4.3% to 4.20 million.
