S&P Global’s Q2 revenue beat forecasts, yet adjusted earnings per share fell short amid lowered full-year guidance.
S&P Global reported second-quarter revenue of $4.15 billion, a 10% increase year-over-year and above analysts’ estimates of $4.11 billion. However, earnings per share of $4.12 missed consensus expectations, contributing to a pullback in the stock.
The company also revised its full-year sales and profit guidance downward. Adjusted operating profit rose 15% to $1.998 billion on pro forma revenue growth of 11%, reflecting ongoing business strength despite the earnings miss.
Shares of SPGI declined following the report, as investors reacted to the mixed results and reduced outlook.
