Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 futures climb as easing geopolitical tensions reduce oil supply risks.
Dow Jones futures rose 0.54% to 52,920 in European trading Monday, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.49% to 7,550 and Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 0.64% to 28,590. The gains followed a decline in oil prices after diplomatic signals between the US and Iran suggested reduced supply risks.
The move came after President Donald Trump announced a pause in planned military strikes, citing requests from Iran and regional partners to negotiate. However, Iranian officials dismissed the claim as false, maintaining high military alertness and keeping geopolitical uncertainty elevated.
Investors also awaited corporate earnings reports from major firms, including Berkshire Hathaway, Eli Lilly, and Walt Disney, which could influence market sentiment and the AI-driven tech trade.
