French manufacturing activity eased in July
France’s manufacturing sector slowed down in July, with a final manufacturing PMI of 49.8.
The decline was driven by accelerated drops in new orders, production, and purchasing activity.
This marks the third consecutive month of declining new order inflows and production volumes, with the pace of decline gathering pace.
Despite easing cost pressures, output charges rose, and the sector is expected to face further challenges due to volatile macroeconomic and geopolitical environments.
