Revolution Medicines’ stock jumps after positive phase III trial results and high-profile investor purchases, including Stanley Druckenmiller’s $7 billion fund.
Shares of Revolution Medicines (RVMD) have climbed 134% year-to-date, driven by strong clinical trial results and significant investments from billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller. Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Family Office purchased 316,000 shares in Q1, with the stock rising over 105% since the acquisition.
The company’s lead drug, Daraxonrasib, demonstrated promising phase III trial results for metastatic pancreatic cancer, doubling median survival to 13.2 months compared to 6.7 months with standard chemotherapy. Revolution’s tricomplex inhibitor platform targets RAS proteins, previously considered undruggable, to block cancer cell signaling.
Major institutional investors, including BlackRock and Vanguard, also hold substantial stakes in RVMD, reflecting broader confidence in the company’s potential transition from clinical to commercial stages.
