MTX forecasts improved Q3 earnings as pricing and cost adjustments delay to Q4, following a 4% annual sales rise in Q2.
Minerals Technologies projected third-quarter sales of approximately $550 million and earnings per share between $1.55 and $1.60. The guidance reflects a shift in price and cost alignment to the fourth quarter, management said during its Q2 2026 earnings call.
Second-quarter sales reached $548 million, a 4% increase year-over-year, while operating income totaled $75 million. EPS rose 3% to $1.60, supported by reduced net leverage of 1.6x EBITDA, according to the company.
