Aave will close six V3 blockchain markets and delist 50 low-usage reserves, according to its founder. The decision is part of a broader effort to minimize economic and technical risks under the new Aave Risk Framework and Technical Asset Listing Framework.

The closures follow Aave’s recent expansion to Avalanche and the launch of its V3 lending and GHO stablecoin on Monad. Despite the shutdowns, Aave emphasized this is not a retreat from its multichain strategy but a refocusing on higher-quality protocols.

Aave stated it will continue assessing risks across all deployments, ensuring long-term sustainability for its lending platform.
