Commerzbank forecasts USD/CNY to hold in a 6.75–6.80 range as green tech exports bolster China’s trade surplus.
China’s yuan is stabilizing near 6.80 against the US dollar, supported by a sustained trade surplus driven by green technology exports. Monthly foreign currency inflows into Chinese banks exceed outflows, reinforcing reserve accumulation and yuan stability.
The USD/CNY exchange rate has traded sideways between 6.75 and 6.80 for over two months, aligning with Beijing’s policy goals. Analysts expect gradual yuan appreciation to continue, though at a slower pace, to aid the renminbi’s internationalization.
EUR/CNY is projected to rise as the euro strengthens, while China’s trade surplus remains a key pillar for currency stability in the near term.
