Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA) posted second-quarter revenue of $9.3 billion, a 14% year-over-year increase, topping Wall Street’s $9.06 billion estimate. Adjusted earnings reached $5.04 per share, exceeding the $4.77 consensus forecast.
The company’s gross dollar volume grew 8% to $2.9 trillion on a local-currency basis, while cross-border volume rose 12%. Value-added services revenue climbed 20%, reflecting resilient consumer spending and travel demand. Net income increased 19% to $4.4 billion, or $4.97 per diluted share.
Mastercard shares gained as much as 2.7% in pre-market trading, reaching $578.35, though still below its 52-week high of $601.77.
