Eli Lilly and contract manufacturer Resilience will invest $750 million to expand US pharmaceutical production, focusing on critical medicines and diabetes treatments. The move follows regulatory pressure to localize manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports.

The partnership, active since 2023, has already delivered over 150 million doses in vial and pre-filled syringe formats. Lilly’s total US capital expansion since 2020 exceeds $55 billion, with additional site constructions planned this year.

The expansion will add 400 high-skilled jobs in Ohio and include production of Lilly’s KwikPen injectable devices for diabetes and obesity.
