ING Raises 2026-2027 Outlook After Q2 Earnings Beat

ING Group posted second-quarter GAAP earnings per share of €0.68 and revenue of €6.28 billion, up 10.2% year-on-year. Net core lending grew by €15.2 billion, while deposits increased by €15.9 billion, reflecting strong customer activity.

Fee income rose 14% year-on-year to €1,278 million, with a 3% quarter-on-quarter gain. Return on tangible equity reached 17.0% in Q2 and 14.5% on a four-quarter rolling basis, supported by a CET1 ratio of 13.1%.

The bank upgraded its 2026 and 2027 outlook, now expecting return on tangible equity above 15% and 16%, respectively. An interim dividend of €0.40 per share was announced.
