The car rental firm revised its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance after accelerating vehicle sales to counter demand shifts.

Avis Budget Group raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA forecast to a range of $850M to $1B, citing faster-than-planned fleet reductions. The move follows a sharp demand shift in early May, prompting management to offload vehicles ahead of schedule.

In Q2 2026, the company expects third-quarter revenue per day (RPD) to remain roughly flat year-over-year. Prior guidance had not included the accelerated fleet disposition strategy, which aims to align supply with softer demand.

Shares showed limited reaction during the earnings call, as investors await further details on pricing trends and fleet utilization.
