U.S. firms reported slightly lower uncertainty about revenue and employment growth in July, according to the Atlanta Fed’s Survey of Business Uncertainty. Revenue growth uncertainty fell to 3.53% from 3.66% in June, while employment growth uncertainty dipped to 4.18% from 4.19%.
The survey measures year-ahead expectations for sales and hiring among U.S. businesses. June’s figures had shown modest stability, with revenue uncertainty at 3.66% and employment at 4.19%. The latest data suggests a marginal easing in corporate caution.
