The crypto exchange introduces USDT-settled metals options following billions in daily trading volume for its commodity futures.
Binance has launched European-style gold and silver options, settled in USDT, through its ADGM-regulated Nest Exchange. The move follows strong demand for its metals perpetual futures, which have seen billions in daily trading volume since January.
The new options reference a benchmark built from multiple third-party price feeds. Retail traders can buy calls and puts but are barred from writing options, capping their risk to the premium paid. Binance aims to expand the suite and may allow limited retail option writing under stricter rules.
The launch reflects growing crypto trader interest in traditional assets, with Binance positioning itself to offer compliant, crypto-native exposure to commodities.
