Core Scientific (CORZ) announced a 15-year partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to provide 529 megawatts of AI data center capacity, expected to generate over $14 billion in base contracted revenue. The deal marks a strategic pivot from bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure following the termination of its ASIC agreement with Block.

The agreement includes rights for AMD to reserve an additional 1.9 gigawatts of capacity through 2028, potentially expanding the total to 2.5 gigawatts. AMD directly leased 377 MW across sites in Texas and Oklahoma, while an unnamed cloud provider secured 152 MW in Alabama and Georgia under AMD-supported deals.

Capacity is slated to support AMD customer deployments starting in 2027, aligning with Core Scientific’s transition away from cryptocurrency mining operations.
