The Italian oilfield services firm wins two contracts worth $911m for offshore Ivory Coast and Italian biorefinery work.
Saipem has been awarded two contracts by Eni and its affiliates, totaling approximately €800m ($911m). The deals cover offshore Ivory Coast and a biorefinery project in Italy, reinforcing Saipem’s role in energy infrastructure development.
The Ivory Coast contract involves the third phase of the Baleine oil and gas field, located up to 1,300m offshore. Saipem will handle engineering, pipeline installation, and subsea structures, using its FDS and Shen Da vessels over three years. In Italy, the company will construct a deoxygenation unit at Enilive’s Venice biorefinery to boost biofuel output.
The contracts follow prior collaborations, including a June 2025 biojet fuel project at the same Italian site. Saipem highlighted the deals as part of a broader partnership with Eni on biorefining initiatives.
