NZD/USD trades flat at 0.5790 on Monday, failing to extend gains despite a weaker US Dollar. Investors remain cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement on Wednesday, limiting aggressive moves in the pair.

The Greenback declined after reports of renewed US-Iran diplomatic efforts reduced demand for safe-haven assets. US Treasury yields fell, and Oil prices dropped sharply, easing inflation concerns and reinforcing bets on Fed rate cuts. Durable Goods Orders rose just 0.3% in June, missing the 1.6% forecast, signaling weaker manufacturing momentum.

Geopolitical risks persist, with Houthi attacks on Saudi facilities keeping energy supply concerns alive. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s economic outlook remains supportive, though market focus stays on the Fed’s upcoming decision.
