Gold prices in India increased to INR 12,658.26 per gram on Monday, up from INR 12,543.37 on Friday. The rise reflects adjustments to international gold prices and USD/INR exchange rates, according to local market data.
The price per tola also climbed to INR 147,643.80 from INR 146,303.40. Prices are updated daily based on global market rates and adapted for local currency and measurement units.
Central banks globally added 1,136 tonnes of gold worth $70 billion to reserves in 2022, the highest yearly increase on record, underscoring strong institutional demand.
