New-home sales for June reached 0.628M, surpassing the 0.610M estimate, though the July Flash S&P Global Manufacturing PMI dipped to 53.8 from a 54.3 forecast. Crude oil futures settled at $89.31, down on the day, as Iran-related risks remained in focus.

European markets closed higher, with major indices posting weekly gains. The EUR/USD, USD/JPY, and GBP/USD showed little movement in early North American trading, as investors awaited further developments on US-Iran talks and upcoming trade policy announcements.
