Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) posted a 34% year-over-year revenue increase to $40.2 billion in Q2 2026, driven by strong demand for AI chips. Earnings per share rose 77% to $4.31, surpassing analyst expectations.

The company’s Q3 guidance anticipates revenue of $45.2 billion, a 37% jump from the prior-year period. Operating margins are projected to expand to 57%, up from 50.6% in Q3 2025, reflecting efficiency gains.

Despite underperforming the broader semiconductor sector this year, TSMC’s results highlight its pivotal role in AI infrastructure. The PHLX Semiconductor Sector index has climbed 68% in 2026, while TSM shares gained 33% as of this writing.
